It is a very straight line. Used to be a railroad track. The soo line runs across Minnesota. If your bored you could ATV across a large chunk of the state. There are some really nice trails off the soo line in a few locations. There didn't seem to be any in this section though. You can see how straight by looking at the gps map I made:
