Just change all the fluids and it should come off. If you are low on oil it will come on so that may be your problem. Hope this helps.

Speaking of maintenance... I just completed my 10-hour service on the Outlander 650 to the tune of $385! What a frickin' rip-off! They change the oil and filter, adjust the valves and apply some lube and it runs me nearly $400? By the way, did I mention they didn't even check my air filter for that amount of coin! It cost me less to have my '99 Mercedes ML worked on than this stinkin' ATV! The service advisor commented I won't have to do this (pricey) service interval again until the 100-hour mark. I said, 'No, I won't be doing it ever again, because I won't be bringing it back here again. I will tackle this mindless labor in the future on my own.

The dealers depend on this to keep them afloat. I have friends who have complained about the same thing, getting ripped off by the Power Sports dealer on service. Getting changed an outrageous amount for little work. I have a friend who is fighting with the local Polaris dealer in small claims court over service he claims they charged him for and never did. He refused to pay the $300 and they are suing him. He says they never changed the oil and filter and he can prove it. The bill shows they used a Polaris oil filter but the one on the machine is the Wix he put on himself last year and has the date written on it + the oil is black as coal but the ATV has less than 1 mile on it since the oil change. He took it to another independent shop and they are backing him saying nothing on the invoice was apparently done.
