YAMAHA LEAK????

Postby POWERSPORTSLIFE » Wed Jan 28, 2009 12:00 am

I think Yamaha may have just leaked a pic of the new sidexside that is being debuted on Feb 10th. We were sent a survey like always for inputs on future powersports products and equipment and here was a pic that caught our eye. Check it out on my News Page, link below. We will post all the info as soon as it is released on Feb 10th, check out the News page to see it first!! Tell us what you think about the picture after you see it.

Yamaha "leaked" a bunch of prototype sketches. That's an RZR with another row of seats.

I knew it. I just posted that in the other thread (same title, same text) in the Yamaha sub-forum.

Your right, it does look like a RZR 4 seater. That is the picture used by Yamaha on their latest survey sent to us. I not saying that the picture there is the final model due to be released on Feb 10th, but it may give a little insight to what it will be. A sport 4 seater sidexside. Yamaha wants to get in the off-road use travel trailer business and I think this new sidexside will be built to support that. Either way, I am glad Yamaha is introducing a brand new sidexside to give us more options and I hope it is a sport model!

If it is a 4 seater, Yamaha already said it will be the size of a small sedan. The current model is too big at times...I can't imagine bigger.

Bigger would definitely be bad. If there was a second row where the bed should be, that could work. But bigger/longer/wider? Not going to be legal on most trails.

Stoopidbot, where did you get your hands on those pics? I have been trying to get my hands on some actual photos. So the pic I posted a few days ago from the survey wasn't too far off. Great job getting the pics and thanks for sharing!

Depends on what state you ride in. Mich , Tenn , and Kentucky for example have a majority of there trails are completely UTV friendly. Big market for UTV sales, so more states will follow. Pretty sure there are more states out west to.

Well I know that in Massachusetts the widest an OHV can legally be for the trails (state trails) is 50". Anything over that and it can't be registered.

I have found on another site that the original leaker of these pics is in danger of his job with Yamaha. He has been asking every forum to remove the pics. DON"T DO IT! He's the dummy that messed up. I have them stored on my computer, I can post them faster than you can take them away.

Yamaha has still not released the new date for the debut of the 4 seater Rhino. Some of the info I am getting is that Yamaha wanted the new Rhino to hit the dealerships first before any other 2010 models were released from other manufacturers. So the early summer release is coming up fast! The more I look at the pics, the more I like it! My wife is ready to go and pick one up ASAP! I was leaning toward the Teryx with the full cage and bench seat, but the Rhino solved that and maybe it will save me a few bucks. Has the new leaked photos changed your minds at all? Chime in and be honest! Also, check out the 1000cc sidexside that I just posted tonight, it is down the page in the sidexside section. Chime in on it too. link below

I think Yamaha took a step back and looked at how many 08s and 09s are still on showroom floors. I think that had a major roll in the delay.

Great job on your site...very informative.

That 1000cc is ridiculous. A manual transmission in a UTV? Blah.
