raptor 660 troubles

raptor 660 troubles
so i have been having some trouble with my raptor. sometimes when it idles and while im riding it and then let off the throttle it will sputter a little, its like it just chokes or skips a beat. any ideas, could it be that i need to adjust the air skrew

It could DEFINITELY be the jetting. I'd check that first.

it could be that your carburators are getting out of sync

change the sparkplug and adjust the valves before you fiddle with the carbs- they are complex and you could make it worse instead of better. let's make sure valve specs, etc, are as they should be before we blame the carbs. a tight valve will make it sputter and pop, so will bad gas for that matter. if youve never adjusted the valves, it is time. THEN if you still have the problem, look to the carbs OK? make sense?

you need to check your jets do you have a filter k&n or a full exhaust if so u need a 50 in the left and a 55 in the right one make sure your air screw on the bottom are 2 1/2 turns out
