In the past, this trail did not have public access from the bottom of Milk Creek Canyon because of private property. In 1990, plans have been made to re-rout this trail away from private property and connect to the Cedar Springs Road. Once completed this trail will offer challenge, opportunity for loops and serve various other recreational needs of the local communities of Del Norte and Monte Vista. Please check with the Del Norte District Office for availability and completion dates of reconstruction. There will be a substantial increase of use after relocation has been completed.
