With two trail systems, the Snake Creek Management Unit has slopes that rise 300 feet above the valley floor. On the north side is a remote trail for hikers and cross-country skiers. There are five miles of trail loops, varying in length and difficulty. The second trail system is a 13.5-mile loop on the valley?'s south side. This is open to all trail users except four-wheel-drive vehicles. Campgrounds are available on-site and at Carley State Park.
