The Winchester Trails are approximately 30 miles of singletrack trails built and maintained by South Coast Trail Riders Association, a local motorcyle club. Trails are technically challenging and wind through a Sitka and Douglas Fir forest. The entire trail system is located on Coos County Forest Lands. The area is a working forest and timber harvesting acrivities are often present somewhere on the trail system so contact Coos County Forest for closures (including fire restrictions) and timber activities (541-396-3121 ext. 349). The trails are a web of singletrack connected with gravel roads and can be confusing without a map. Pick one up at Moe's Bike Shop (541-756-7536). Please ride with care and respect other trail users , the trails are multiple use and mountain bikers often are encountered.
