

Manchester State Forest Description: This is the shortest of the three loop OHV trails in the Manchester Forest. You will be guided by arrows, which indicate turns and direction of travel. You will wind through a mixture of forest, open, area, and some wetland, and though this is basically a lowland area, there are enough small hills to make your ride exciting. The trail surface is a mixture of dirt and sand, which if overused may be closed to allow for recovery. Also, during wet weather there may soft spots and standing water, so please wait for drier conditions to avoid damage, which may require the trail to be closed for maintenance and repairs. Length: 1.7 miles Fees: Individual daily permits are $5.00 and annual permits are $25.00. Directions: From Columbia drive east or Sumter drive west on US 378. At SC 261 (Stoplight) drive south for 8.8 miles and bear right on Sumter County S-43-51 (toward Rimini). The entrance to the parking is approximately .6 mile on the left. Hours: Dawn to dusk.
