The White Sulphur ATV Trail consists of a system of trail segments arranged in connecting loops. Located in moderately rugged terrain, some sections of the trail are located on ridge-tops and others on side-slopes. The trail is designed for use by novice to moderately experienced riders. There are no segments that would require expert-riding skills; however, some segments may be challenging to novice riders. Each segment of trail is identified as easy or more difficult. The trail is hardened along much of the system with gravel to prevent soil erosion and impacts on watershed resources. Orange diamonds posted along the entire trail system keep users on a safe and legal route. NO OFF-TRAIL OR CROSS-COUNTRY TRAVEL IS ALLOWED. Trail symbols are used at road intersections and along the trail. In case of differences between this map and trail markings, depend on trail markings rather than this map due to trail maintenance and re-routing.
