Roosevelt National Forest Divide Ranger District The Forest Service planned to relocate this trail around private property. Check with the Divide Ranger District for information about the completion of this project. Once the access project is complete, there will be many opportunities for loops and other recreational activities. The new trailhead will be near the South Fork community, so the trail will probably get much more use in the future. Directions from South Fork: Travel 10 1/2 miles west of South Fork on U.S. Highway 160. Turn right at Big Meadows Road. Follow Forest Development Road 430 until it dead-ends.
