The Long Park Trail connects to the Deadhorse-Long Park Loop four-wheel drive road #230. It also connects with Lost Park Road #293. From the trailhead you climb rapidly for 1/2 mile to the northeast until reaching the crest of the ridge between the White River and Long Park Creek drainages. Views of the surrounding area can be enjoyed as you travel through scrub oak and aspen along the ridge for 1.2 miles. The trail follows Long Park Creek for the next 1.6 miles into the meadows of Long Park and 4- wheel drive road #230. Turn on #230 and follow the road for 1 mile to Trough Gulch. Here the trail follows a bench, switchbacking for 1 mile to Lost Park where it crosses Lost Creek and ends at the Hahn Creek campsite at the end of the Lost Park Road #203 1 mile farther.
