Blanco Ranger District White River National Forest The Long Park Trail connects the Deadhorse-Long Park Loop four-wheel drive road #230 and the North Fork Road, County Road 8; also it connects with Lost Park Road #293. From the trailhead you climb rapidly for 1/2 mile until reaching the crest of the ridge between the White River and Long Park Creek drainages. As you travel through oak brush and aspen along the ridge for 1.2 miles, vistas of the surrounding area can be enjoyed. Finally, you turn north following Long Park Creek for the final 1.6 miles into the meadows of Long Park and 4-wheel drive road #230. Turning on #230 you follow the road for 1 mile to Trough Gulch. Here the trail follows a bench, switchbacking for 1 mile to Lost Park where it crosses Lost Creek and ends at the Hahn Creek campsite at the end of the Lost Park Road #203 1 mile further. Directions from Meeker: Long Park Trail is located 32 miles east of Meeker. Take State Highway 13 east out of Meeker for one mile; turn right on County Road 8 for 31 miles to the Long-Lost Trailhead.
