this is my first quad, even though i had my first ride on a 300. When starting it up in cold weather or after washing it, you have to let it warm up for about 5-10 minutes before riding off. The shocks are good enough for basic trail riding, but you'll soon find yourself wishing for better shocks, or a better rear shock, because after going over a log, the rear end sometimes like to buck up and hit you in the rear end and groin, sometimes causing pain in the male extremites. the first and second gear has enough torque to pull you out of almost any problem, and get you up a good sized hill too. It tops out at about 50 mph, and the brakes work well, in a combination of the rear and front, can bring you from around 30-40 to a full stop in about 4 seconds. it resonds to body english well, and you can slide it around corners with a little bit of rear braking and leaning in. All in all the TRX250 is a satisfying quad that will last you for a long time.
