Pros: Everything
Cons: Nothing
The Paiute ATV trail is absolutely the best ATV trail system in the country. I have to date ridden the trail system (in two week increments) 6 times since 1998. Four of those times I hauled the ATVs out for the group from North Carolina and Georgia.
Where else in America can you ride in 90 degree weather in the valleys and ride up on the mountains and have a snowball fight that afternoon IN THE MIDDLE OF JULY?
The scenery is absolutely breathtaking! Elk, mule deer, turkey and a myriad of smaller wildlife can be viewed it seems around every bend. You turn the next corner and wind up in a heard of free ranging cattle.
The best way I think to see the Paiute is to pack your stuff in a carrier on the ATV for the whole week. The last time we did this, we parked in Richfield. We did not camp, but stayed each night in a different town. Marysvale is more or less a “hub” town on the system. We elected to stay there at the Old Pine Inn for two nights on the journey. It is a blast!
If you are short on time, you can fly in to Las Vegas. You can rent a car drive over to Marysvale and rent ATV’s. They rent for about $125 per day (which is a steal). For the business professional who doesn’t have a lot of time, this may be the only way to do it.
I am looking a group from East Tennessee or Western NC to go out to Utah yet again. I can haul 10 atv’s behind my dually.
