Pros: The trails have been a great addition to an economy that continually stays on the rocks. I would recommend all attend and at least ride the trails once in their quest for the ultimate riding experience.
Cons: Slow trail expansion by the HM Council. Trails not tailored for the little guys (Some of the ruts are getting quit deep in the outlying areas). Promotion of the trails is not what it should be and the local board should let other promoters put on events instead of trying to do so themsleves.

In riding every one of the current trails I have found that the HM authority is somewhat slow at expanding the system. The Boone County addition only happened after they were in fear of loosing local tax monies to further the cause. Also maintenence for the amount of personnel they have is sometimes lackluster at best. Too many chiefs and not enough indians is a saying that comes to mind here. Also enforcement is sometimes something to be desired. I particularly like the trail system and it has a great many benefits to offer its participants. It has a wide variety of difficutly ratings and they are very knowledgably decided for the particular trail they are assigned to. In addition to the trail system there are several events geared around the system they however have limited access as far as camping and trail connectivity as promised for several years. When the trail system does get them all connected however this issue should dissapear but until then the participants are forced to ride behind shuttles if they want to participate in these events and go to multiple trail heads or trailer their atvs. Overall the trail system gets high marks as it provides a lot for the thrill seeker and the average rider as well. Also you may want to see that the system is still one of the cheapest rides for the buck.
