Uwharrie National Forest ATV Trail

Pros: Very good rock riding trails and lots of ups and downs. Wide Roomy trails and very well marked.
Cons: Only one creek crossing on the entire trail. This may change with the time of year you visit. However, I can't believe they didn't get a Uwharrie River crossing somewhere on this trail. Also, did not see a place to get water, so get plenty for summer riding on your way in.

Great location and a lot of fun. Depending on how far you want to drive to ride, I would say this is a 3 hour max trip. Otherwise Brown Mountain is more fun. Uwharrie is definitely worth a 3 hour drive or less though. Very good work by the locals and the clubs marking the trails. The organization of the system was impressive compared to many around the U.S. Stop by if you are in the area!
