Pros: Almost everything: Fender design, acceleration is good, easy wheelies, good in tight trails, smooth powerband, great looks, auto clutch, reliable, fun to ride 4 stroke!
Cons: Shifting can be a little clunky, could use a little more torque when traversing up large hills and it doesn't like to slide. (It will but you really have to push it)

For a long time I tried to decide if I should buy the z400 or the z250. I finally decided on the z250 partially because it was much easier on the wallet. WOW, this is one FUN quad!! It is great in the trails, peppy enough to wheelie just from pulling up on the bars and keeps up with the dirtbike riders in the trails. Top end is around 55-58mph which is plenty enough for the trails. The powerband is very smooth and the only time you really notice a lack of power is when traversing up very steep, long hills. (You end up staying in 3rd gear because 4th and up lack torque.) The auto-clutch makes it great for a beginner who is just learning to ride and the shaft drive cuts way down on the maintenance schedule. The z250 will jump fairly well, but if you go to high it lands hard as the suspension will bottom out. I really haven't jumped it over 3 feet yet and even at that have hit somewhat hard landings. They say an aftermarket exhaust ads to the hill torque and putting top class suspension on it would make this bike a better competition bike. Honestly, I wouldn't race it. A pipe makes sense but new suspension would be too much of an investment for this machine. The next quad I buy will be the Z400. (in 5 or 6 months)

If you are looking for a sporty, FUN quad to hit the trails with you can't go wrong with this bike. The z400 is more geared to the super sporty rider but it is much more bling-bling!!
