Good place to bring beginners

Pros: Good fast paced trails.
Cons: Day use parking lot is black top with no shade....gets pretty hot in the summer.

We have been going to Lake Murray more lately because the trails are reall similar to the XC races we have been doing lately. So it makes a pretty good practice area. This would be a great place to bring children because of the percentage of easy trails to ride on.  This will probbably be the first place my sons rides when he gets old enough. This place also has good restrooms. One of the few down falls the place has is the parking lot for the day use people,  it is blacktop with no shade, which down here in the south can during the summer can reach temp's in the 130's,  pretty dang hot to be sitting in when your not riding.
